Psychotherapy · Cypress, TX 77433
I'm Andrea Jones, MS, LPC Associate, NCC — a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate and former military medic with over 25 years in healthcare. I offer compassionate, evidence-based therapy for adults, teens, and couples — in-person in Cypress and via telehealth across Texas.
About me
Hi, I'm Andrea Jones. I became a therapist because I lived what many of my clients are going through. When I returned from my second deployment with the United States Air Force, I saw firsthand how limited mental health support was for service members — and how hard it was to find real help on your own. That experience planted a seed that eventually became this practice.
I served in the Air Force for 16 years across active duty and reserve, working in labor and delivery, women's health, and genetics and rare disease — and supporting a unit of C-130 pilots out of Biloxi, Mississippi. That last assignment sparked my enduring dedication to aviation professionals. It's also personal: my husband is a former C-130 pilot and now a commercial aviator, and I understand that world from the inside.
After the military, I moved into executive healthcare leadership, running operations at two of the largest community health centers in the country. But somewhere along the way, I realized I had drifted from the thing that mattered most to me — being the person in the room with someone, making a direct difference in their life. Burnout has a way of bringing into focus what you are truly called to do. Returning to direct care wasn't a step back. It was coming home.
My clients describe me as exceptionally curious and non-judgmental. I work hard to understand how each person sees their world, so I can view their stressors through their own lens rather than imposing my own. I am objective, deeply compassionate, and I genuinely care — not as a professional obligation, but as a human one.
One more thing I want you to know: finding the right therapist is one of the most important parts of the process, and I take that seriously. I am committed to helping every person I meet find the support that truly fits them — whether that's working together or connecting them with someone whose expertise is a better match for what they need. My goal is always to help you find the right path forward.

My approach
I believe the therapeutic relationship is the foundation of meaningful change. My approach is collaborative, culturally sensitive, and always tailored to where you are right now.
We explore your experiences with openness, without rushing toward labels or quick fixes.
I draw from proven modalities — including trauma-informed care, CBT, and mindfulness — always adapted to your needs.
You set the pace. My role is to walk alongside you, not ahead of you.
I consider the full context of your life — relationships, identity, culture, history — not just a checklist of symptoms.
Many people wait until things feel unbearable before reaching out. But therapy works best when we start before we hit a wall — when there's still space to breathe, reflect, and build.
If you're curious about whether therapy might help, that curiosity itself is a good sign. Let's talk.
